I’m looking for a good step-by-step on how to turn a wooden sphere. Input is greatly appreciated.

This book shows how to turn spheres that are hollowed out and have captive pieces inside. Some are very elaborate, and may be a little off the path of what you’re looking for, but several of them start with the sphere, and it shows you step by step how to do them. I have the book at home, but haven’t worked up the nerve to try it yet.

Thank you. I’ll try them both.
