Topic tags/keywords: lumber walnut cherry maple mahogany oak ash

Hi all,
I’ve been with Lumberjocks for several years, but no longer under my previous email address of david5633@gmail.com. So today I signed back up under a new email address.
Living in Hamilton, Ohio and looking for a place to buy some rough hardwood for a stereo cabinet project (I got a DeWalt dw734 for xmas, and I love it). I’ve looked online and not coming up with a decent place except for like Carter Lumber, 84 Lumber, Lowes, and Home Depot. Most of those sell finished lumber anyway.
Since I expect to be using my planer more now, I’m trying to find a good cheap place for my rough and finished lumber needs. Can anyone tell me where you buy your lumber without mortgaging your home ? I have a truck and dont mind driving a fair distance to get it, I just dont wanna drive cross-country.
Thanks in advance.

CR Muterspaw isn’t too far, according to woodfinder. Just go there and type in your zip code and off an away you go.

David, have you checked Craigslist? Here is a search for hardwood lumber in the Cincinnati area.

You could also call a couple of cabinet shops in your area and ask them.
