Topic tags/keywords: question firefox toolbar

Firefox just updated itself and now the toolbar is no longer compatible. Is anyone having this problem? I sent a note off to Firefox, but maybe there is a fix on our end.

Firefox extensions are at the mercy of the programmer behind them to specify what versions they are compatible with. It’s usually no big deal in between versions, but with a big change like 3 > 4, its worth dissecting to make sure it functions as it should.

I have been using the 4 beta for awhile and it just went to 4 RC or what ever it is called. Wasn’t really sure if it is the upgrade or the site. Since there seems to be a lot of changing going on with this site.

I beta tested Firefox 4 for a while. Since its’ inception the LJ toolbar hasn’t worked. Maybe Martin has a handle on this.

Hey Lew, I have been beta testing since B2 and it has always worked for me til now. It is probably a firefox thing. I will keep sending them site problems every so often.

Lew I am sure it is firefox not you. Sometimes programs are setup properly and sometimes not. It just worked on mine and not yours go figure. I certainly don’t know how to fix it if it isn’t working.

Seems to be working fine now. It installed it self after Firefox upgraded again and I did a search for updates.
