I Have to tell you all. I joined Lumberjocks a week or so ago in hopes of finding information about a used bandsaw I was looking at. I had no idea what a great place this was. I received lots of helpful info on my steel city bandsaw question and was ready to buy but didn’t get to the seller in time and lost out to another ( he got a great deal).
This morning I put out a call for a 10% off Grizzly coupon I had heard about and got several very kind and helpful replies. One of them helped me get a free riser kit and even more savings on my new Grizzly GO555P bandsaw, saved me about $70.00. I’m feeling like a kid at Christmas. Can’t wait for the saws arrival.
Just wanted all of you who helped to know how much I appreciate your kindness. I’ll let you know how the saw purchase comes out. Grizzly customer service people have been amazingly helpful as well. Hope the saw is as nice as they have been. Thanks again, Mike

Welcome, Mike.

I have that very saw, and find it to be very high quality. I think you’ll be pleased.

This is a great resource for setup of new tools and stuff like that.

In fact, here goes, from my friend George who figured this out a few months ago: When you’re installing a blade and setting the guide bearings, take the saw table off. Yep. Just loosen the two knobs that allow you to tilt it, and it will come right off.

Now you can see everything at once and get ‘er tuned to a fare thee well.

Welcome to the site of site when it comes to working the wood. Your going to love your Grizzly BS, plus you’ll be up and running in no time. Go out and buy a Timberwolf blade for the saw now because the blade that come with the saw is worthless. If you need help selecting a blade give me a pm or call Timber wolf directly there really helpful. Enjoy and stay safe with your new toy….BC

Thanks BC, I just got back from Woodcraft with my first Timberwolf blade. Didn’t even want to set the saw up with the one they give you. I got the 1/2 inch 3tpi balde for my first run. I know I”ll need more but figured I’d start with that one.

I just ordered 4 tools from Grizzly – and didn’t know about any 10% off coupon. That would have saved me about $400 – is there any way to still use one? (if I can find one…)??

Sorry James, Don’t imagine there is a way to use one if you already bought the tools, but I’m certainly no authority. Try calling grizzly ( if you can find a coupon code ) customer service folks are very helpful . Good luck, Mike
