I typically go to Crosscut Hardwoods over in the NW industrial district.

There’s a Woodcrafters in SE portland, but their prices are ridiculous for most wood. For most everything, actually.

I am from Montana, but I buy a lot of wood out in Portland, while visiting grandsons. There is always a bunch of wood for sale on Craigslist and a few local tree services that process the reclaimed wood. I have gotten some beautiful wood at great prices. I have also shopped at Crosscut Hardwoods, happy hunting.

I get all of mine from Hardwood Industries. Lower price than Crosscuts. Maybe doesn’t have some of the really exotics but has most.

I use to use The Trees in Eugene but they were sold to an East coast company ant they no longer post their prices. You have to select your wood to get a clerk to price it So I have started to use Crosscuts more..both have stores in Portland.

Thats a strange business practice! No wonder people are turned away.
I never ever bought anything that did not have a clearly stated price.

Have your say...
