Topic tags/keywords: norton stone sharpening question

I picked up an old Norton waterstone for a buck at a yard sale. It’s a little worn, but a buck, right?

It’s in the original blue and yellow box, and says it’s a UPB 6. It’s got two different grits, one on a dark gray side, one on a walnut colored brown side. 6” x 2” x 3/4”.

Any of you guys know what that UPB 6 means? I’m hoping it’s a clue to the grits here, but . . .

Thanks, Bernie
