Topic tags/keywords: shop smith mark v wood working tools

Greetings!

I have a Shop Smith Mark V that belonged to my dad. He loved it but has since passed on. I hope someone who reads this would also love to have it.

It is in good condition, complete with owner’s manual & accessories. My family is asking $800
Or Best Offer.

Thank you!

You will need to give more information.
Is it a 500, a 510, a 520?
Are there any SPT’s like bandsaw, jointer, belt sander, etc. that come with it?
Pictures would help.

And I will have to look at the owners manual to answer your questions. I will be able to do that this evening. Thank you.

I would take a look on Craigslist to get an idea. A lot depends on the accessories and condition. Personally, I would not pay that much for a Shopsmith. I do have one and use it for somethings.

Ok. The price is completely negotiable. My dad took very good care of it. When I get home I will be able to list components. Thank you.

Ok. The owner’s manual says Shopsmith Mark V. I know that it has a band saw. I would suggest, if anyone is truely interested that they come look at it. Again, the price is negotiable. Thank you.

500, 510, and 520 are all Mark V’s but there is a lot of difference between them.
Anyone who knows SS can tell what model it is from a photo.
The bandsaw is a plus. Any other SPT’s? The

That’s a 500. It’s the oldest of the three (500,510,520). It likely has a single bearing quill, 3/4hp motor, and has the smallest tables.
It’s still a great machine but $800 may be optimistic, even with the bandsaw.
