Rating these heaviest to lightest how would you list the following?
All will be the same size and 3/4” thick.
1. Birch plywood 2. Melamine 3. MDF

Deadend, this is difficult, if not impossible to answer defininitively because there are different grades of man made materials. However, based on this article, I would say that the heaviest is MDF, then melamine (a melamine veneer on particle board) and the lightest is plywood. That said, I have seen ply with 2 layers of MDF under the surface veneers that would be heavier than particle board. HTH
