Well I am only 16 but I have a bucket list I would like to do before I am 18. There are a list of 10 projects that I would like to complete in this two year period.

1. Pie Crust Table
2. Barristers Bookcase
3. Glass Door Bookcase with cabriole legs
4. Bombe Chest
5. Queen Anne Highboy
6. Queen Anne Spice chest on a Base
7. Maloof Style Rocker
8. Armoire
9. Maloof Music Stand
10. Double Rocking Chair

Well on numbers 1,2,3,6,7,8,9,10 I have a source for the plans. But on 4 and 5 I am lost on where to get plans for a decent price. So that is my question where can I get the plans for those projects.

Whoa, Your on the right road. Please be sure to post when their done. All of us love to see the next up coming Norm/Mack/Etc.

I’ll take a look and get back.

Bet you can get this for free. Not definate

Can’t find anything on the Bombe Chest

While I’m thinking about it do you have a woodcraft store near you. They have a nice library of plans. They will copy the plans for free. I will go to mine and spend hours back there.

When you get that list done kid let me know. I will come over and take a class from you. :)

This book does not have detailed plans but it does have a lot of construction information including an exploded parts diagram.

Well I figured out a place to get bombe chest plans. The link is as follows: https://www.oldemill.com/store/product_info.php/cPath/60/products_id/1593?osCsid=27e599b4752115404c1c8a10f82820f8

The cost is a little excesive I think but I dont know yet I will have to finish my current project and do some of the other projects before I commit my self to this.

One last question is I think that the mahogony that I would like to use is at irion lumber but I dont know if it is a good deal. The peice is 12/4 thick 25.5” wide and 15’ long. Let me know what you guys think about these things.

I’m doing a Queen Anne highboy right now. The plans are from www.cidwoodworking.com. The legs I purchased from www.timberwolfforest.com.
That’s a very ambitious list of projects. And in only two years? Do you go to school? Regardless we’re all anxious to see your projects when done.

No 16 year old should be talking about a bucket list.

Wait until you retire. :)

Nice projects, though!

I just wish I had $1,600 for some wood when I was 16….

A couple decades later and I still don’t have $1,600 for some wood!!!

I do go to highschool and all, and I know that it is a rather tough list of projects but I think that I can do it over my summer and winter breaks.

I’m impressed. That’s a serious list including some large projects. I think I was playing Dungeons & Dragons & picking my nose when I was 16. Good luck!

I like that Scott, I am not aiming to have this done before I die. Well actually I am, I am mainley focused on Before I am 18 so that I can use them to help jump start my business.
