I’m thinking of selling my 6” Delta jointer with a mobile base, new knives just installed and one spare set of knives. I have it on CL for $450 but would sell it for less to a LJ. Or course it would need to be picked up on Long Island. John

It is a nice machine and very accurate. It is my first jointer but I would like to get an 8” Grizzly. Hard to separate wants from needs as we all know too well. I just bought a used 15” Grizzly planer with a spiral head and he’s lonely out there and would like another grizz next to him.

Take a ride on the ferry from New London Ct to Orient and come have some home brewed beer. If I had a truck I could meet you upstate. Any way you cut it, it is a long way from Boston. We used to take my son to Mass Eye and Ear and it took about 4 hours driving around through the city. It’s about the same time if you take the ferry but less driving.

John, I am a transplanted Long Islander living in Vermont. I am originally from Bay Shore, relatives now live in Brookhaven & Mastic. Where do you call home?
I could be interested in your jointer. I could travel and pick up the jointer, good excuse to visit family (or should that be the other way around?). What is the model # (so I can look up specs)?

Oh, and I like beer!

Randy, I have the manual and the model #on the manual is 37-195. I didn’t actually get to take the # off the machine because there is some plywood leaning against it and couldn’t see it without moving all the plywood. I will verify that and get back to you later when I move things around. Brookhaven and Mastic are just around the corner – I have a number of friends in Brookhaven and Mastic. My phone number is published if you want to look it up and call me. Thanks for your reply. Where if Vermont do you live now? We rented a house a few summers back for a week to ride. It was in Warren Vt. One year we stayed in Waitsfield on a ride as well. Maybe get to see you some time. John

John,
I live in Colchester, next town north of Burlington. It is about 45 minutes to Warren/Waitsfeild, I have skied both Sugerbush and Mad River Glen many a time. I’m hoping to be down on Long Island in a week or two. Either way, I’ll stay in touch.
BTW, thanks for the model number & No rush on moving the plywood.

FWIW, that’s a really nice looking jointer, but your asking price is a bit high, at least for the market where I am. That jointer, with the extra knives, and the mobile base would fetch $350.00. I guess it’s all in where you are…

Give me a number and I’ll reach out to you. I can pick it up quickly with cash in hand if you agree on the price.
Thanks!
