I’m thinking of purchasing one of these Milwaukee drivers. Any comments? I’m planning on using this instead of my Dewalt 14v or 18v cordless drills for all my screw driving needs. I like the idea of a chuck-less driver. They are also smaller and lighter.

Well Lithium-Ion is the way of the future, and I don’t think I would get anything battery powered
without it.

As for the Milwaukee, I have no experience with it.

well my dad has a Milwakee right angle drill and it works great. lithium ion like Gary said is the way of the future. i think that it would be a pretty good buy. but the Dewalt in my opinion is probably one of the Best cordless drills on the market right now though. the Xrp is the one that my dad has and its awesome, the company he works for gives them out to all the employees and it is a great drill.

Dave—Excellent choice! The Milwaukee is very light and I found it to be quite comfortable in my hand. Bosch has a similar sub compact drill called the pocket driver which is quite nice to use too.

I have the Bosch unit and have really liked it. Frankly, it could be the same “guts” as the Milwaukee unit shown above, with different casing. The battery appears to be the same type and size and the overall unit seems to be very similar. FYI, I see Amazon shows the Bosch unit available as refurbished for $79.95.

It’s looks just like the Bosch, but Milwaukee beefed up the voltage, so it’s max RPM is 500 instread of 400, with stronger torque. Looks like a winner, I would still go and test it out, I saw it at Depot yesterday.
