This would be an interesting project. It obviously required some vision, concept & good engineering. With the skills shown on this woodworking site, I’m sure someone would design a way to streamline the design.

There is a movie, called the Battle of the Five Armies( extended version) that uses a “Gatling gun” version, where you fed clips of arrows in. They cranked the lever to fire the arrows.

Just imagine, if the Indians had this what it would be like today?

Rechargeable batteries wouldn’t have been much help without electricity.
