Every time I try to post pictures, they are the size of my avatar. The first few times I posted pics, everything was great, but for the past few days “no joy”. Can any one help out here?

Where are you posting them from? Your computer or a website like Photobucket that you have uploaded your photos too?

I use photobucket and it’s fantastic, and free.

xplorx4, I’m just kinda going off the cuff here, but are you taking the pictures out of your camera, and downloading them into your computer? Or are you downloading into Photobucket? If your going from the camera into the computer, you have to put the pixs in a file or document. Name that file or document something so you’ll know such as “shop pictures” or “projects”, etc. Then you can pull the pictures out of your computer and post them. If they are going into Photobucket, out of the camera, and download into P.B. But once in P.B, you’ll have to re-size them to fit on your post. I think the size is 480×640. But I don’t know where you’re putting them. That’s just how I do mine….you may have a different plan. Everytime you download a pixs, resize, hit “save”, and do the next till they are all done… But we need to know where you’re posting from.

One problem with posting from photobucket is that they sometimes LJ just points to the PB picture. Some folks internet connectections block sites such as PB and therefore they come up blank. In addition, if/when the PB site is changed, then LJ is left with text only. It is best to upload them to LJ, not to point to any other site for them. Just a though. :)

Rick, I think you probably meant to say Folder or Directory(not File or Document). :) Pictures can’t really be uploaded to LJ via a File or Document.

I have been up loading from my computer, and as Rick suggested I do keep photos in files as they relate to a project or the like.
Interesting this is one I posted before and it worked fine, as it did here. Well now I am confused, and I am so easily confused, this is one I tried earlier and it didn’t work. Well try one more;
I shall proceed as if I knew what I were doing even though that is at times doubtful. Thank you all for your assistance, I am going to try and post a project—-think I shall post it here just to see if it works both places.
It works?!!
