Just wondering if anyone noticed that the Freud table saw blades are not actually 10”!
I have 3 Freud blades and all are 9.75”, not 10”
All my other blades I have all measure 10” I even have a few old Craftsman blades that are at least 15 years old and they are 10” as well.
Is this normal for Freud?

Have you noticed a 2×4 is not 2inches by 4 inches.

It doesn’t have to be, 3/4” sheet goods are not 3/4” anymore,
So the blades don’t have to be as big.. :>/

You guys are getting the wrong impression!

I was simply asking if anyone else noticed that the Freud blade isn’t 10”

I know it doesn’t matter and no, it isn’t keeping me up at night!

You need to lighten up a bit!

Simple question with a lot of snarky response. I’ve never checked mine, but I just accept if it looks about right, it’s good enough. lol. Interesting if Freud actually does make their blades smaller. The full depth of cut would be shallower as well.

To be effective the safety brake on a SawStop has to have a specific gap from the blade. I doubt that the brake can be adjusted to work with a blade that much smaller.
