Still looking for LONGER colored Acrylic spindle blanks. I sent out this question and got lots of answers back but they were all for clear cast rods. I want to make stuff out of the colorful Acrylester blanks, like are used on may pen and bottle stoppers. I just can’t find any vendors that sell it longer than 6 inches. Here is what I want:

-Perfect size would be 3/4 inch to 1 inch squares, and longer than 7 1/2 inches.
-Can cut from larger blocks.
-Should be “cast” acrylic.

Below is a picture of the type of colored acrylic’s that I am looking for, all colors, just need a few vendors. Can you help?

Thanks Lew, the DEvies plastic link does not work for me, but I will check their web site out. The Galaxy has what I need, but no informaiton on prices, lengths, or minimun order sizes. Send them an e-mail to find out. Thanks for your quick reply.

Hey Mike, surf on over to the IAP (International Assoc. of Penturners) site and take a look around. This will get you close.

There are lots of casting guys there who know how to make that stuff or they might help you make your own. Good luck, Rocky/rockb

Mike, My local wood store has been casting something called ” rhino plastic”. I’ve turned a few and they come out really nice. Here’s the link to their web site. You can call them and see if they can meet your needs.
