I am planning on a lumber run from Michigan to Chicago in Mid-March. I stop at Bass Pro Shops South of Chicago and Mitsuwa in Arlington Heights North of Chicago. I also plan on a lumber run to Florida from Michigan in early April. Let me know what your looking for and I will see what I can do. I quartersaw, mill crotches, burls, curved logs and stumps.

Can you be more specific about when in mid-March you will be in Chicago?

Will you be in MO at all?

I will get as close as Bowling Green, Kentucky, but I won’t get to MO this trip. Some initial potential stops are Indianapolis, Columbus, Louisville, Bowling Green, Nashville, Birmingham, Montgomery, Dothan, and then Tallahassee.

I have some Red Elm as well. I would call this a table making set. 8/4 bookmatched, figured crotch table top, 8/4 legs, and a 4/4 skirt.

Wow! What nice wood. Unfortunately, I’ll be heading from Gainesville to the U.P. on I 75 while you are coming South further West.

Where are you located when you are not on the road.

I am located in Buchanan, MI just a few miles north of I-94 and just off the Us 31 Bypass.

I have an entire log of figured Aspen crotch cut into 6/4 slabs. It is kiln dried. I surfaced one of the smaller slabs that I cut down to 15” wide to fit through the planer. The log was about 100 bdft. I am asking $5/bdft or $450 for the lot. Free delivery on my lumber run to Florida or Chicago.
