I recently acquired a total shop from a good friends father who recently passed after a long battle with cancer. He wanted me to have it because I helped him with a lot of odd jobs that he could no longer do. Needless to say he took very good care of this machine and it appears to have all the accessories except a manual. Does anyone by chance have one that I can get a copy of? Thanks.

“Total Shop’’ Two words isn’t a lot to go on. Got any models numbers. Maybe a picture or two. A picture of the name plate?

It is one of those shopsmith clones. built in 1989 series #891525 1 1/2 hp. In researching this websight it looks like a member VORTA5 may have a manual but I cannot contact him currently as I have not enough posts to do so. Any help is greatly appreciated. So far all of my google searches have come up empty.
Thanks

Don’t buy nothing from that thief. You’ve been warned. Don’t come crying here if it doesn’t work out.

A few things to try…Occasionally, you will see then listed on eBay. Anotherr thing to try is sending a message to someone selling a system (eBay or Craigslist) and see what they would charge you to send you a copy. I think that they are supposed to be a clone of the Shopsmith Mark V so I wonder if the Shopsmith manuals would be of any use? You can at least download the current Mark V manuals from Shopsmith.com so you can see if that is of any help. I also read somewhere that Shopsmith sued (and won) the Total Shop company out of existence and basically took over their inventory so maybe they will sell you a manual?
