An item for the wanted list, as a nice to have, would be a way to enlarge the personal photos like on the projects page. Click on the picture to enlarge it. Sometimes the small picture looks much different than the larger one. Every time I see Mark’s picture, I think of someone shaking both fists in the air. Sorry Mark, I know you are not that angry! When I look closely, I see he is holding a mallet and working on a piece. First looks can be deceiving. -- Bill, Turlock California, http://www.brookswoodworks.com |

For those of us on Firefox, that is not an option. I have not installed IE 7 because of all the bugs etc they had originally. After using Firefox for awhile, I like it better than IE. I do like that Firefox can easily increase the text size, but it does not work on pictures. -- Bill, Turlock California, http://www.brookswoodworks.com |

I’ve never tried Firefox, I’m afraid I might get burned. LOL -- -** You are never to old to set another goal or to dream a new dream ****************** Dick, & Barb Cain, Hibbing, MN. http://www.woodcarvingillustrated.com/gallery/member.php?uid=3627&protype=1 |

You guys are just talking about your Avatar, right? The little image that displays above your name for every blog and forum and comment you make? That’s supposed to be small. It’s just an Avatar. If you want a larger picture of yourself to display, you should attach one under your Workshop page or maybe add an image into your profile. Or, Martin, maybe we could have a small update to the Profile page where people can add a larger picture of themselves? I think the Avatar is designed to be, and should remain, small. You think you have to scroll a lot now? Wait until everyone’s Avatar is five times larger and see how much you’d have to scroll then! -- Ethan, http://thekiltedwoodworker.com |

I use Opera, which has a zoom, and there are image zoom plugins for Firefox, but zooming the image doesn’t give you any more information, just accomodates for failing eyesight (or, the curmudgeonly among us might say, excessive monitor resolution: if 240×280 was good enough for me on my first computer with a video display, it should be good enough for everyone). But, yeah, the real solution is for us to put higher res versions of our icons on our profile pages. -- Dan Lyke, Petaluma California, http://www.flutterby.net/User:DanLyke |

You are right Ethan, I would like the icons to stay small. I just would like a way to click on them to enlarge them, like how you enlarge a picture on the projects page. I would not want to give up that space for larger icons. Anyway, it is just a suggestion for Martin. He has many more priority items on his list right now. -- Bill, Turlock California, http://www.brookswoodworks.com |
