Topic tags/keywords: planer

I have a DeWalt 735 planer and the stainless skid plate on the bottom base needs to be replaced but DeWalt said they do not sell it separately. They want you to buy the whole base unit for $180. Doe anyone know where I can get a replacement?

Thanks

Just make an aux. table to put over it. How did you trash the table? Post a picture!

you might be able to find a local metal working shop that can make you one.

Great idea. Thanks. I bought it off Craig’s list. It appeared to be in great shape but the was loose and some how had a bend in it. I tried to straighten it but it is not right. I like the idea of making a table to put over it. Thanks for the input.

great ideas..
I’d suggest a rolling cart with fold down wings for infeed/outfeed..
be sure to show us what you come up with.
