Picking up some green maple and ash next week from a local mill and I need some advice from experienced on the site. Should I immediately bring it in and sticker it in the warm basement or sticker it in the garage for a few weeks first?

How wet is it and where is your shop? I wouldn’t want wood too green dumping moisture into my shop.

If it is fresh cut I would sticker it up outside for a couple months first. If it is air dried to below 20% or so go ahead and put it inside.

When I say green I mean like grass…lol. It’s gonna be fresh and this is a first for me. Don’t wanna mess it up.
