Topic tags/keywords: harbor freight dust collector super dust deputy

I am looking at adding a dust collector to my woodshop with the Super Dust Deputy. I was originally going to by the Harbor Freight 2HP unit and then add the Dust Deputy and vent it to the outside. Are there options to just buy a blower unit that I could hook up to the Dust Deputy rather than buying the filters, bags, and stand all together?

The shop is detached from the house and not heated/cooled. The point where the dust collector will be vented is on the backside and away from anything of importance.

Thanks for the help.

Richard

Weldo,

If I had to do it over again, I think I’d be getting this:

Seems pretty popular, no extra bells or whistles, just a solid 2HP (a real 2 HP, not like the exaggerated HF DC) blower. With something of that size and a SDD XL, I’d think you could run 6” mains using PVC as a cost effective method, and be pretty happy with the results.

Have your say...
