I want to build a high bed over a doublebed that can be put up when needed and taken down when not needed. I have limited space and this would help with bedding space when family come home. If anyone out there has ever build this or have any idea that they would like to share,I would be greatfull. Thanks Ed

It’s a little tough without drawings, but here’s what I’d do….

1) make head/foot boards with pockets or clamps that fit over, and lock on to the lower bed’s head/foot boards
2) Make side-rails (with those bed frame clamps to attach in using a mallet), and include an “L” for a board
3) Cut plywood to fit in the above space and top it with an air matress.

Good luck,
