Hey everyone, I was doing some surfing and thinking about my next bench and i wanted to run an idea by you guys. What do you think about mounting a jawhorse to the underside of a workbench in a face vise position. similar to the way a metal Jorgensen style vise is mounted. If it was removable you could still use the JH as its meant to. but mounted it would provide a face vise with a ton of quick action clamping force and a capacity of 37” lol. Just an idea, I would like to know what you guys think.

Every good idea has to be tweaked. When it comes to metal, you can do anything with a hot wrench. Depending on the design of the bench, you can modify it to accept the Jaw Horse. Just get a cup of coffee and a chair and study it out. Like old Tom Edison said….All inventions are 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. Give it a try and give us photos of what you are doing. I have my popcorn ready.

Have your say...
