I’d like to build the ultimate router table (well illustrated here: http://www.crestonwood.com/router.php)

To save room, I’d like the under table dust collection to exit on the right, rather than through the back. It seems I would need to relocate the sloped “chute” so that it empties to the right, and I’d have to give up some interior space for drawers to make this work. The alternative would be to try to recess a 90-degree port, at the cost of some DC efficiency.

What do you all think?

I built Norm’s table and I don’t see much of an issue with exiting to the right versus out the back. I would just eliminate the bottom drawer completely and have that area open to the DC vent.

I had the chute, but ended up taking it out. Even with the chute, you get collections of saw dust in the corners that you have to vacuum out.

Have your say...
