Topic tags/keywords: tools jointer sander drill press craigslist

I’ve got an app on my phone for craigslist listings. I have a filter on woodworking tools.
Well today it paid off.

Just got:
Ridgid 6” planer JP 06101- Set up but never used!
Ridgid EB4424 Oscillating Edge Belt/Spindle Sander – New in the box
Ryobi WDP 1850 Woodworkers Drill Press with mortissing attachement.
All for $450!!

Looks like I will need add on some bench in my shop for the sander. The jointer will replace an old Delta 4” sander I’ve had forever. And I will have to run some more central vac lines, but well worth it.

Does your constious hurt at night?
I have both of the Ridgids and you can’t go wrong. I use the sander a whole lot.
Enjoy

That drill press is pretty uncommon. Good find. I’ve never used one,
but I’ve had my eye out and the design makes a lot of sense.

It’s called Craigslist Notification. Jus put in the filters (Tools for sale – Woodworking). Then tell it how often to check and it notifies you when something has been posted.

Loren: I like the design of the drill press. With the motor in front of the column, there is a lot more room on the table to the column. Also with the table stationary it allows a much larger table.

I may try that app. I have been watching Craigslist for a jointer for about 8-9 months and haven’t spotted even close to a good deal. There have been a lot of Delta 6 jointers priced in the $400 range but that’s about it.
My only semi gloat was picking up a Paslode framing nailer and finish nailer for $230 together. That was at a pawn shop that quit buying tools because they aren’t selling anymore.

Yea, I read that before I went to look at the tools. In fact I was interested in the drill press until I read that review and then saw in in person.

Nice score! I’m sure you’ll get a lot of great use out of all three tools (or maybe 3.5-tools with that mortising capabilities of the drill press).

I’ll have to find that app. Didn’t even know about it. I’m always looking for stuff on CL, so this will help with the constant searching and wondering what, if anything I’ve missed.
