This is the normal way to handle spammers.

I am currently having tech issues receiving flagged reports. So if a spammer goes off the rails before the email issue is resolved, please send me a private message (with their username and/or profile URL) so that I can handle it.

Hello Jack something must be working as I recieved one overnight but when I went to check them out they had already been targeted and neutralised.

I even got some on my Skype account. So I modified it to discourage them, ....it might work but I doubt it!

Todays spammer was particularly annoying. Some Ideas for the development team for reducing spam:
1) For the first day or two at least, limit the number of postings they can do per hour to 2 or 3 unless it was a topic that they started.
2) For the first week (+/-) limit the number of forum topics that they can comment on to 2 or 3 per day
3) Automatically suspend for review any new account that comments on more than 3 to 5 topics in the first day
4) Prevent new accounts from posting links in the first week or until they have 10-20 postings without links

I would not publish these rules just block until waiting period expires or suspend for review.
