I have just been given an Inca Circular Saw from a older woodworking friend who is no longer in need of it. He has had it for over 20 years and it is still in great condition. It has a mortiser attachment, mitre gauge, and tenon jig. He has the fence at home on his bandsaw still. The quality is very nice and all the moving parts have very fine tolerances. If anyone has the same saw let me know if there are any neat operations you can do with the saw and certain maintance issues to look out for.

I have a sanding disc chucked up in the pic.

Dude! That’s a score!

I’ve owned several INCA machines over the years and really enjoy them.
That saw doesn’t require much maintenance but you can put lithium
grease or paste wax on the ways the table slides up and down on if it is stiff.

You’ll pay dearly for the fence and most any accessory. The Kreg bandsaw
fence may fit the rails. I haven’t looked closely, but the design of the
Kreg fence and maybe some other aftermarket bandsaw fences seem
derivative of the INCA.

Fabricating your own fence is another option. The INCA fence is pretty
low-tech.

The gentleman that owned the saw told me it would be difficult to get a fence for the saw, so I may check and see if the Kreg fence will work on the saw. If all else fails I will look into making my own.

The fences from the INCA 340 bandsaws and the INCA 710 bandsaw
will fit this saw too. The 340 is not too uncommon on the used market
and is a really nice saw. The fences on the bandsaws are different but
so similar they fit perfectly.

Jesse at Eagle Tools may have a fence to sell you, but probably $$$
and the fence is really nothing special.

IDEA – Why don’t you buy a Kreg fence for the gentleman’s bandsaw and trade him it for the saw’s correct fence? My 2 cents.

Here’s a fence on Ebay:

The seller is a well-known (in the freakish Inca community) collector,
authority and seller of Inca stuff.

I have an Inca table saw fence. There were a couple of different saws made by Inca. If you could take a measurement of how long the fence should be for your saw, i will see if mine fits the bill.

Have your say...
