I use bell forest from time to time. They are out of Texas. There is a place just off of I70 & Noland rd. They are a little pricey. I believe it is called metro hardwoods, they have a website.

Metro Hardwoods just off I 70 in Independence MO (Noland Rd.)

Jeff is great to work with, they also have delivery and good sheet goods.
I always go there when I visit KC.

Agree with DrDirt. Great folks at a great new store. Prices are reasonable.

I also used to do trade with Liberty Hardwoods ( http://www.libertyhardwoodsinc.com/services_main.asp ) when I was building cabinets. Good folks as well.

And finally, there is Paxton’s ( http://www.paxtonwood.com/KansasCity.aspx ).

I’m not sure what you’re looking for, so I can’t recommend one over the others. But I’ve never had any problems with any of these establishments.

Cheers!

Great! Thanks for all the great info! I currently do some turning nothing to big yet but I am interested in making boxes now. So I will be calling around for prices most of these places are a good 45 minutes to an hour away so I want to make sure I am getting the best prices before I go. There websites did not list any prices and with starting out I want cheap while I learn.

Thanks again everyone for your help.
