Just thought I would add.

1-My Ridgid 4512 TS Miter slot is tight at the start Gets fat and sloppy towards the middle then tight and narrow on the other end. I am not sure but I think it is slightly S shaped.

2- One can NOT leave the riving knife and its parts attached while using a stack dado.

3- One has to use a computer CNC machine to make a zero clearance plate. ALSO you CAN’T make and use a ZERO CLEARANCE PLATE with the riving knife.

4- It called my girlfriend and told her I was having an affair.

I have no problem using riving knife with z clearance plate.
As I recall, had to move knife out of the way when I cut the slot with the blade.
