Topic tags/keywords: chisel lie-nielsen

I’m organizing my hand tools and want to include a tray for a set of Lie Nielsen bevel edge chisels. My problem is that I don’t own them yet. I plan to finish the tray and order then chisels.

Their website lists the length as about 9”. Can anyone mind telling me the diameter of the handle and advising how accurate “about 9 inches” is?

Thanks

They vary. My 3/16” is 8 5/8” long. My 1” is just under 10”. The diameter at the top of the socket where it meets the handle is 5/8”, but the handles vary from just under 1 1/8” on the smaller sizes to just over 1 1/4” for the 1”
