Topic tags/keywords: question

Hi,

I have the system set to send me e-mails of comments on items I am watching, and I read them in my e-mail system.

I also see the same messages grouped in my ‘New Posts’ area at the bottom of each page.

Is there any way to mark all/some of these items as ‘read’ without accessing each item in turn ?

Possibly, it would reduce traffic on the system, and save me some clicks!

Thanks

Not that I’m aware of, but … it’s an interesting idea.

You might try reseting your pulse page settings. Go to pulse page, drop down menu on the right select 24 hours. Then at the top of the pulse list select unread items. It won’t clear everything, but you’ll only have a days worth of ‘stuff’. Hope that saves you some clicks.

Even just a way to delete multiple watched items would help. All I can figure out is to go to each one and “unwatch” it. There’s a time when each one is past ripe, but it would be nice not to have to go there to cull it.
Kindly,

Lee

Thanks for the comments, I followed KayBee’s advice, and the list is now much shorter.
But I have now realised that I can just IGNORE the Watchlist Activity if I’ve read everything in e-mails – there is no ‘bin’ filling up with un-dealt-with messages as I had thought – Doh!

interesting idea. I have only been here a month and the list gets progressively long with each day. I can see how unwatching them individually could become quite a task after a while. Sounds like a task for the LJ guru.

(i am adding this to my watchlist lol)

I’ve often wanted the same option here but never knew about the “24 hour bug”....thanks for asking the question and thanks to Kaybee for knowing : )
