I was looking at the map that has the small red markers that locate each of our homes and shops. I know that many more LJer’s have yet to add thier shop/home location. I think it would exciting to see the map covered. I think that even if your shop is a future goal or even a work in progress, I would still love to see where your at and a even a couple pictures near your home would be wonderful. North America is well represented, but Europe, Asia and both Africa and South America are not. It’s a big world, I for one would love to see and learn more of it. If that knowledge, that experience comes vicariously thru this site it would be wonderful. Lets stretch our wings alittle and see where it leads us.

just checking: have you clicked on the “view all” (only the most recent “50” are shown on the home page).
It is interesting to see the different parts of the world, learn about the culture and how woodworking differs around the world.

Hmm.. I went to check the map and I noticed that all of our Alberta members aren’t showing up now (they were there the last time I looked) and then I find that MY flag isn’t there either.

Msdebbie! once again you have helped me better see the true scope of lumberjocks. Still need more flags, but it really is interesting to explore our world thru LJ.

I had to add the paging feature to the Worshops Map page because the number of “mapable” workshops was too high. So just use the numbers below the map to page through the workshops.

I would love to see a tab under Jocks, that lists everyone by country and state.

How about the MAP feature where it will default to the state/country where you are from.
Someone from Utah, by default it will show only those in Utah for example.

The UK then the UK. If the UK gets too crowded then break it up into counties.

That should cut down on the clutter.
You could have the option to view all the others though.
