I’ve never framed an oil on canvas painting. Looking for tips on the proper way to attach the canvas painting to the outer frame and dimensions for the rabbet depth. I know the paint needs to breath- do I need to leave room between the back of the canvas and the wall?

-- The optimist says "the glass is half full". The pessimist says "the glass is half empty". The engineer says "the glass is twice as big as it needs to be"
