Hi guys!

I’m attaching hairpin legs to a live edge bench I completed and a box/stand for a record player.

The bench is nearly 1 3/4” thick, so there I’m thinking 1 3/8” screws, that way I’m grabbing about 3/4 of the material without going through of course. I have some Kreg screws for hardwoods, and I was thinking I might use them? Would there be a better suggestion?

For the record player stand it is about 3/4” thick so planning on going with 5/8” screw.

Before I start drilling pilot holes, anything I’m missing?
