Just wanted to say “HELLO!” and introduce myself a little. Glad I found this site, it looks to hold a ton of good info and people!

I am 33 and just started out as a saw dust maker a year and a half ago after many years of shying away from it. So far I have found it very irritating and pleasureable at the same time! I have spent this time piddiling with a few projects and collecting tools for my shop (ie. garage, boat storage, atv / go-cart storage, junk storage, lawn equipment storage, etc., sometimes I feel like I only have a 1’ x 1’ shop to work in!) but some how we manage to fit it all in!

I have stocked so far: 10” craftsman table saw in a custom table, 10” craftsman professional radial arm saw, ryobi 16” scroll saw, craftsman professional 14” band saw, 12” craftsman drill press, 14” jet vs. lathe with bed extension, tradesman 12” miter saw, ryobi 18 volt 7pc multi tool kit, craftsman 1 3/4 hp router, craftsman professional 1hp palm router, craftsman professional random sander, delta shop master 8” grinder, husky 32 gallon air compressor, various nail guns, staplers…....

My wonderful wife has some how put up with me (and my begging) through all these purchases the last year or so by grinding her teeth and giving me the “what ever” look as I lay out my case of why I just can’t live with out this new tool and how oh how much time it will save me ! : ) She is my number one fan though as she makes me feel like David marks everytime I show off my latest handy work and new creation.

You will see me more in the back grounds around here lurking and trying to be a sponge to all the knowleged and experienced wood workers here. I will post a few “reviews” on some of the tools I have used and own, as those sections have been a big help to me in other fourms I have searched. (I still think craftsman has some quality tools for the price,(and some junk) although I do have some complaits on their accessories they provide with them!)

I guess that went past my “HELLO”, but I do look forward to interaction with you guys as I have only been a member for five hours and have had a more that expected “WELCOME” already!!

-- It seem's I just make scrap wood and saw dust most of the time !

Welcome to Lumberjocks. Begging for new tools is good. Having your wife as your number one fan is better.
