My dust collector is wired for 220 which I just switched the motor back to 120 and the current cord that is on it is 14ga 3/C SJ wire that looks stock to the system.

I have the grizzly 2HP machine that is a old old version (grandpa owned it)

It says it will pull 17amps at 120

It is okay if it’s stock. Is there a temp on the cord such as 90C or 105C?

It’ll be fine. It wouldn’t hurt to upgrade it to 12AWG SOOW cord, which is going to be a lot tougher and more durable than the stock cord.

I doubt #12 SOOW will fit through the connection opening. #12 type SJ may fit, but if the existing cord is stock there is no need to change it.

Kk. Yeah the #12 SOOW didn’t fit into my table saw motor casing either but i made it look good still and connected up solidly.
