I replied on a forum topic. http://lumberjocks.com/topics/24031

Now, when someone else replies, I get an e-mail from lumberjocks notifier.

That’s a clever way to get me to shut up, it will work. I hope it’s an error.

You are right. I unclicked items I’m watching. I didn’t do anything to watch it. Maybe using the Pulse means I’m watching.

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing. I must be very dangerous, because I’m not very smart.

All you have to do to “watch” something is accidentally click the button in the upper right of the post, in the line of commands right below the title.

Go to the post and you should see an “unwatch” button if you are currently watching it.

I’m not sure wtf is going on. I did what you said, charlie, and you are right. But I did not get an e-mail notifier to your reply of this topic. That is because I am now not watching the topic I started.

I have not before had to watch a topic I started.

I must be subconsciously clicking. This could get expensive.

It’s not a big deal, just something I haven’t seen before.

You need to go back and check that box (the one in hobomonk’s post) so that you get email notification of items on your watch list.

Your original problem is that you accidentally placed that post on your watchlist. Unchecking that email box was kind of like amputating your arm to fix a splinter. :-)

That’s what I did. Thanks!

I haven’t messed with the settings like that until today. They were as they were the day I joined up here. I must have clicked “watch” like you said, then things went downhill from there.
