As many of you already know, Photobucket.com has changed its terms of service for free users on their platform. As of June 20th, images hosted by Photobucket and shared on our forum, or any other 3rd party sites, will no longer appear. As a result, you may notice a higher amount of broken images on the forum.

There is a fix for you if you have broken Photobucket images on your old blog post.

Add ~original between .jpg and the!

I do not know how long this will work, but at least now you will know which pictures go where in the post so that you can upload the correlating pictures directly to LumberJocks if you wish to do so.

This works! Thank you for staying on this, Cricket. It’s important for folks that have a lot time and effort invested in LJ blogs.

No, stay away from PB please. This ‘fix’ is for older blogs that were made before PB restricted 3rd party hosting to force member fees to view pics like the ones posted here on LJs.

I definitely recommend just uploading your images here. There is no limit.

I also recommend always keeping a backup of your images.

Just bumping this to make sure everyone saw it. Smitty is 100% correct. This should NOT be used for new blogs, etc. This should only be used to fix old posts. Because we cannot guarantee how long it will work, it is a good time to add those images directly, instead of via a 3rd party.
