When you have a nice big pile of barn wood? A project came up about a year ago. Involved about 5-6 drawers. Kind of tall. Not much money in the budget. I did have a nice pile of barn wood though

A few cuts here and there

And a frame of sorts appears. A few more to make some web’frames

Then some assembly:

Next, to top things off, maybe a frame to hold a top:

And maybe a top ( 1/4” luann) in the frame:

Well that was all I got done that Saturday. Be back with the next installment later, IF anybody wants me to.

You say this is barn wood. Is it pine? In the last picture it looks like you have 2 different kinds of wood. Do you know what they are? -- Rich, Cedar Rapids, IA - I'm a woodworker. I don't create beauty, I reveal it.

There is some pine from old trim boards ( made nice drawer parts) and the corner posts came from a corner post of 4”x 6” oak/ash ( not sure which) that I resawed into the posts. I’ll be back tomorrow with more of this little project. -- A Planer? I'M the planer, this is what I use
