Looking for Table Saw Key Slot Jig Plans

After struggling with a bunch more complex ideas, this is what I eventually came up with for use on my router table:

Thanks Dan. That’s kind of what I had in mind. I think your design would work good for the table saw too, with a few modifications.

Yeah, in case it’s not obvious, that’s before I’ve used it, because the 1/4” ply holding those 2×4 miters together is sacrificial. If what I were trying to cut keys in were wider, I’d build one wider too (or maybe just two of ‘em), this one just had to be wide enough to cut keys in the frames for some trays, so I’ll be using a spacer in between the frame and the fence to push the frame out far enough to be accessible once that plywood’s cut away.
