I came by a set of 15 carving chisels about 10 years ago and never did anything with them so they have picked up some rust but seem to be somewhat in tact but a bit on the dull side, some are a little raged on the cutting edge. My question is how on earth do you sharpen them? I am at a loss because of the shape of the cutting edges being at different radius’s and scoops. Should I regrind the back? They seem to have more of a convex contour as opposed to concave as on a flat chisel. So who has experience in sharpening these? I can add some close up photos if it would help.

Well there it is, Thanks Lew, I don’t know why those sites did not come up when I did a search.
