I am planing to use a wood slab for my kitchen bench top. The slab has some cracks on both ends that will need repair. I want to oil the bench so what should I use to repair (fill) the cracks with?

Maybe Joinery is the wrong place for this issue.

The forum isn’t a problem. My concern is that the wood looks like it has issues that go beyond a couple of cracks.
