Topic tags/keywords: small irwin quick grips 1999 blue box lowes

Hello WW Bargain Hunters, I happened to see a display in the Blue Box (aka Lowe’s) today. The display box has packages of 4 Irwin Quick Grips, the 6” capacity size, with a sign saying 19.99.

Thanks for the heads up Bob. I did some searches to see what they normally cost and also to compare with other stores. First of all, the Lowes ad I found states they are selling a 2-pack for $19.97 but the photo accompanying it shows 4 clamps! Then, I found an ad at Home Depot and it states they are selling a 2-pack for $19.99 but the photo shows 4 clamps! Go figure.

They call it a 2 pack, but it has 2 free ones in it. Just more confusion for the customer. I don’t know what they are normally. i went over to the clamp rack so get an idea of what that size was worth and concluded it was a good deal. I need a few clamps to grab my tarps to hold them down. These were cheap enough to use for that. They are big enough to do much but clamp small projects and very small boxes.

What does a 2 pack sell for without the 2 free ones?

Just googled it, Amazon says 14.41 ea & 57.99 for 4 pack. Can you see if you get the same price from Amazon when you Google Irwin Quick Grips 6”? I have been told they vary their prices depending on how much you buy there with the regular customers paying more and the occasional buyer getting a better deal to lure them back. This was reported on the local news in the 90s. I have never trusted their prices since, always double check them instead of just hitting the “buy it now” button ;-)) I even use them as a search engine just to get my buy % lower ;-)) ;-))

I guess I got $57.99 although it is confusing to me. First amount popped up as $71.80 and it indicates they are from Grizzly. There was a link included that read “2 new from $57.99”. I clicked that and it has the $57.99 price but from another vendor. All of this via the Amazon website.

The Google page that showed ten Amazon link had 71.80 as normal price the 57.99 as Amazon’s price. Looks they have either abandoned the individual pricing after all the bad publicity or we are both at the same level ;-))

I bought 8 larger Irwin quick grips with the blue color. I really love these clamps and I use them a lot. They never seem to come on sale here though.
