The Crown Plane Company of Portland, Maine makes this very special compass plane which has a hard, figured maple body with an A2 blade. Jim White and his son make each of their products to order with lead times of six weeks. This compass plane was developed by toolmaker Leon Robbins in close collaboration with chairmaker Mike Dunbar. It is small enough to fit nicely indoor hand with the rear knob fitting in the palm and the notch up front for the index finger. The width radius of the sole is 3-13/16” and the end to end radius is approximately 10”.

This lightly used tool is in excellent condition and is ready to use as received. Purchased new, this item sells for $110 plus shipping at Highland Woodworking. It is being offered to you for $80 with free shipping. It will make a great addition to your chairmaking tools.
