The summer outside fire is a great “mistake eraser”! I use it often.

No gas in San Antonio. There was a Facebook inspired run on ALL gas stations in the TEXAS area. Now, no gas for sale ANYWHERE. I noticed it yesterday, when each station I saw had 30-40 cars in a row, lined up. I was puzzled until I got home and turned on the news.

I guess I am to feel blessed or something. Can’t go anywhere. Just a fact. Check the news… and stay home.

Same to you Cricket. I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday.

Gas situation reminds me of the 70’s. Ah, the good ol’ days. Hopefully just a temporary situation.

May I add to the cook out-

but more importantly Lumber Jocks forum – for Fri evening the #2 wood identification contest is to begin. AZ Woody’sContest #1 was great! May I add it was the most civilized contest, yet and there was a “prize”

Happy Labor Day to you too Cricket and all LJs everywhere.

Horizontal Mike, I told my wife yesterday to keep the car over half full after I saw the flooded refinery on the news. All it takes is everyone topping off to create a real shortage nationwide. On the positive side, look how many crazy drivers will be grounded

You bet!. THAT is the best reason for staying at home on “holiday” weekends… ’amateur hour’. Dodging errant deer are one thing, HOWEVER, dodging weekend/texting drivers on a motorcycle… NAH! I have already been blessed with three deer and falling off a 20ft ladder, in the past ~12yr. I do NOT need any further “blessings” at this point.

BTW, got my 24yr old truck fixed today after part arrived via USPS. Speedo and odometer quit at ~173,000. Got a used replacement and it works! That saves me a couple of Harley bucks for sure. Still no gas out here in the hinterlands, but hear things in San Antonio are starting to get replaced. “Waiting lines” are down to 10-15minutes to gas up. I figure, in another couple of days…

Funny how our Texas Governor and staff, have basically ignored this panic buying as a non-event. Now THAT scares me more than the actual artificial shortage of gas. Who knows… if I hold my breathe long enough, I/we/Texas will turn blue… Hmm… Just a thought…

Dear Cricket and others:
This was my original contributation-

Since posting these pictures; I regret the college logo photo. While trying to watch Alabama and FL St – BAM the Chick-fil-A logo, on the center of the playing field, was- to me an intrusive method into getting into our home.
Will this spoil my 2017 Labor Day weekend? NO As I close; remain vigilant. If going “horizontal” does not work, then try “vertical”—Jesus
