I have posted several threads to this forum that were perceived as “stirring up the pot”. I assure you that was not my intention, but if that was the way it was perceived, then I apologize and will strive to put in the clutch before shifting gears before posting anything that could be inflammatory. I enjoy this forum, have learned much from it (more than I have contributed) and hope I have not made any enemies. I am getting old (going on 83), but I’m not using that as an excuse. I think my mind is still as sharp as it has ever been (although my wife doesn’t think so). She says I can’t drive safely, but I know I can drive as safely as ever. I also safely use my power tools in my shop. While some are contemplating the hereafter, I’m focused on the future. When the time comes when I can’t do simple tasks, I will tell you so and drop out of the picture. Until then, happy woodworking and God bless us all.

You Ron, I believe you. The problem is numerous in that various folks have various religious beliefs and have sought for decades, or centuries, to have THEIR beliefs (or non-beliefs) recognized. I am one who took and takes um bridge when that happens. Thomas Jefferson tried to keep religion out of U.S, politics yet certain factions kept trying to wedge in. Still going on today unfortunately.

I try to stay out of it, but when it gets waved in front of my face, I react. THAT seems to motivate many other “players” to respond. To be honest, we are NOT all of the same religious cloth.

I must have missed what went on, but I enjoy your contributions, Ron. There are certainly some members that seem to enjoy stirring the pot. I’ve never thought of you as one of them.

No need to apologize, Ron. Your Demonstrators thread just turned out to be easy prey for some who are clearly not of sound mind. I thought your post did a nice job of taking “Idle hands are the devil’s workshop” and applying the quote to current events.

Just stop this shit Dick. Got it?

Just stop. And when has “not of sound mind” been an excuse for ANYTHING?
Are YOU not of sound mind? Hmm…

And Dick, this is the third or forth thread in a row that you are following and commenting about me. What is your fascination in doing so? I just don’t get it… Freud probably has an answer to your incisive intrusion, but you probably already know THAT one. So just stop, OK?

There is another problem. Numerous folks have sought for decades or centuries to suppress any form of public religion, no matter how benevolent or well intended, just because they hate the idea of religion themselves. This drives them to say and do all sorts of rude and hateful things, whether warranted or not.

I’m sorry but where did I mention you, Mike? Nowhere, that’s where. I’ll not stop anything, because I’ve done nothing wrong. Dick, huh? Oh God that hurts me…lol

Now, please leave me alone and stop accusing me of attacks on you that only exist in your head.

You didn’t have to mention him by name, you are like a child pointing at him saying he did it. Or Trump, he can’t accept responsibility either.
