Topic tags/keywords: laguna drill press question

Anybody have any experience with a Laguna 17” Drill Press? I’m looking at a used one at a pretty good price. Thanks.

I have a Laguna drill press. The drive belt is slipping when I use large forstner bits (2”) in wood. Laguna has no replacement parts and they don’t advertise drill presses any more. Its a good press but lack of parts is concerning. I bought belt conditioner and hope that helps. I think I would talk to Laguna Tools.

JackBo, Thanks for the feedback. I believe I’ll pass on this one. Best of luck with yours.

I just applied belt conditioner to the belts. It is working fine now. BTW, what was the asking price for the drill press?

$300. I’ve already got a 2000 era Delta that is solid. I was thinking to upgrade for the belt less speed adjustment.
