Hey guys, long time lurker here, finally decided to sign up. Got my first non wooden plane today. Happened across a yard sale when I went to pick my lunch up this afternoon from the little store not far from the farm. I seen some old tools on table as I passed so i decided to stop.
Picked up 2 #21 howlands with original irons,a Sandusky tool co with Ohio forge and tool iron,it’s about the same size as the howlands, nice little coffin can’t find a makers mark on it,Stanley tool and level transition original iron and cap. Someone must have busted the tote at one point or another and in an ill fitted attempt it has a Stanley/bailey style tote on it. I’m gonna make a new tote for it. I have some cuts off a couple 150+yr old barn beams I’ll use. Finally I bought my first non wooden plane. It’s a bailey 5 1/2 that is missing parts, has a busted screw in the frog and doesn’t have a tote. I’ll use the tote that’s on the Stanley transition thy didn’t belong to it on the bailey. The little coffin has a mismatched iron and cap but it’s a user not a collector. Here is a few pics of the haul from today. Does anyone have a decent source aside from eBay for bailey parts or happen to have a frog for a 5 1/2 they would want to part with.

Eric Robinson of New Hampshire Plane Parts on Ebay has a huge selection of parts. I’ve gotten quite a few replacement parts from him.
