Topic tags/keywords: toy train

In the early 80’s I made a toy train for my kids. It was a neat train. It had engine, coal car, box car, flatbed and caboose. Each car was 8-12” long. The boiler was made from a rolling pin and it utilized stock parts for wheels and people. Mine was maple and walnut. I was sure that the plans were from WoodSmith, but they say no and I cannot find them in their archives.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Surely someone else must have made this. The rolling pin for a boiler is such a neat idea, hopefully someone else recognizes it. I’d love to make it again for my grandkids. If this rings a bell, please contact me!
