yup. The threads on this site move so quickly that it is easy to miss things. No harm done to be reminded.

I wonder if your head explodes if you are simultaneously a Sawstop hater and a Festool lover?

I’m just hoping Harbor Freight buys up the whole lot.

But did you know Sawstop has a bench top saw? http://www.finehomebuilding.com/2017/06/27/sawstop-to-be-acquired-by-tts-tooltechnic-systems
Although it is intended to be a “contractor” saw, it sure looks like a “bench top” saw to me.

Rob, I would not be surprised at all!
Many German companies share technologies and market share as long as the money come to Deutchland.
This would make room for the Bosch safety saw too.

Because of price?

I haven’t heard of any political issues with Festool.

Their iron fisted control over the marketing of their products. What tripped my trigger was when the “Bing Rebate offers” was going on they forced their dealers off e bay so the rebates couldn’t be had. I slipped in my track saw about 2 weeks ahead of their directive and got a 25% Bing rebate.
